Haven’t had a chance to use paddles but delivery was quick!!

A $250 paddle for $99. That’s what the Heartbeat Brand promises. So, was the Pro Slim paddle really a $250 paddle?
If you have read my blog in the past, you know that I have played with several $250 paddles, so I know how they are supposed to perform – adequate to superior power, a lot of “pop”, and great control from the baseline and around the net.
The Pro Slim met all of those performance criteria.
First, regarding around the net, the paddle was both stiff and soft, stiff in that it provided excellent control, and soft that I could hit straight on and crosscourt dinks with little effort.
From the baseline and transition zone, the paddle again provided control and sufficient softness so that I could hit third shot drops, including underspin crosscourt drop shots, easily.
I enjoyed the capability the paddle provided when serving. I was able to hit hard, flat serves with topspin, as well as soft, seep serves with topspin.
The sweet spot (based on my calculations) was just a bit above center. I can say that even if I did hit a shot off center (a rare event), the shot was not affected.
