Is the front panel real cork?
Yes. The front panel is natural cork on a fabric backing, so every hat has its own grain, and it wears in rather than out.
How does cork hold up in water?
Better than most fabrics. Cork is the same material that has sealed wine bottles for centuries, made by nature to keep liquid out. Rain, sweat, lake water and salt spray bead up and dry off, and the panel keeps its shape and color.
